Should the media be time wise restricted, reporting on one event?

The media is in my opinion totally out of control, feeding a frenzy of blood lust. Why should a killer get more media coverage then the state of our Medicare, Social Security System, Crime Ridden Inner Cities, Corrupt Politicians, Soldiers coming back in Bags, Enviroment, Education?

The people get this media crap feed, until they are ready to throw up. It was called brainwashing in the USSR.

Should the media be time wise restricted, reporting on one event?
No, it is part of free speech.
Reply:No, you are not forced to watch or listen to it so it's not brainwashing.
Reply:You can’t really tell them what to talk about in rules or laws. You can however influence what they talk about by not watching their shows or listening to their radio shows. Ratings are everything to them. I think most Americans are zombies in front of TV with no minds of their own. Spend some time on these boards listening to the rants of people who get told what is happening by some talking head.

Get out – meet people – read history – read a variety of news sources – don’t blindly listen to the major news networks, they are dumbing down the audience with sound bites and overblown stories.

"Cluster bombing from B-52s is very, very accurate. From 30,000 feet, every single bomb always hits the ground."

- U.S. Air Force ammunition memo.
Reply:YES YES YES
Reply:I must concur! i cannot tell you how disgusted i am that they are showcasing that sicko from VTech's tragedy! what happened to the victims and their lives? this "coverage" is only going to cause unnecessary pity to the murderer
