Why do people think different social groups can be seen as having unequal access to the media?

i think they do because of how news stories are chosen due to personal opinon of editors...

Why do people think different social groups can be seen as having unequal access to the media?
And stories are chosen according to the dynamics of the watching public - which differ from BBC/ITV/Sky etc. as they do from The Sun to The Times.
