Do you think the media is the most powerful tool of terrorist/social propaganda? And if so, how do you think?

it is manipulated or exploited to bring about the desired chaos/order? If the media is manipulated, is that proof of a conspiracy theory, for whatever reason, that the masses are being herded like cattle? Specifically, as of late, the media seems to be lifting Hamas up as valiant, noble, do gooders that have just gotten a bad rap, which makes me think we, the masses, are being set up like a boxer in the ring to drop its guard for a powerful knockout combination to the chin. Thoughts?

The news media shows it bias motly based on what they choose to omit or emphasize. During the Isreal/Hezbollah war, they would continually emphasize civilian casualties in Lebanon, but didn't mention the fact that Hezbollah dead were counted as civilians because they didnt wear uniforms, or used civilians as human shields. At the same time there was very little mention of all the Hezbollah missiles fired intentionally into Jewish civilian areas, with ball-bearing filled warheads. There's also the Reuter's photo fraud scandal (google that). Here's a good site about that:
